I litaraly received the worst haircut in my life. Supercuts is a haircut place located in the new plaza of Oxford. At first I thought this place looked good from outside since it's newly constructed. The shop was clean. They have a nice website plus phone apps to track waiting time. The things above made it seemed like it's a business that's up to date with modern standards. So I thought it was worth a try. I told the haircut lady that I wanted a "fade" around my sides and the back, and not too short on top so it's a nice round shape that fits my face. The first question I recrived was "what's a fade?" Followed up with a question which number I wanted on sides and which number I wanted on top. At first I thought, ok, maybe "fade" is not that popular, so I said number 2 will do it too. After they cut my sides with number 2, they told me the longest they have for top was a number 6. Normally I don't go that short on my top because it would make my head looks "fat", but I had no chose since I couldn't walk out when my hair was half way cut. So number 6 is fine, just have to shave the sides a little shorter, I thought. After the number 6 top was done, indeed, it looked fat and had two sharp corners above my ears, so I told that lady to get rid of the sharp edges so it looks nice and round. She said the only way to get rid of the sharp edges was to use a lower number which was a number 1, but their number 1 is a 0" so it would shave everything off. Then she questioned me if I ever went to a barber before. Now, there is so much wrong with this: 1st, I am 27 and I have different barbers done my hair every 2-3 weeks since I was 15, yet I have never heard anyone asked me what a "fade" is. 2nd, the lack of equipment plus the lack of skill level, they cannot take a simple requests such as "make this area a little shorter". I believe the reason they couldn't do a "fade" was because their shaver didn't have an option "number fade". They were so relying on these numbers and could not do any request beyond that. They argued their equipments were better because their numbers were made out of metal instead of plastic. I paid them $15.90 for this hair cut and later had it redone at a different barbershop.

Kelly is great. Very experienced, and gave me a beautiful cut. I have very thick and difficult hair

I brought my 11-year-old son in for a summer haircut and the people were very professional, accommodating and fast. Great value, my son was very happy And it was a great experience for him. I was very pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back.
